When your baby is one month old

From now till the 6th month the baby will just grow an inch and will approximately gain 6 7 ounces a week. If the feeding is proper, upto the mark then the your baby will regularly gain weight. Babies in these months are only breastfeed, but the amount of milk they need cannot be decided. But yes, they need to feed 11 to 12 times a day or in every two hours.

When your baby is three months old

At this age your baby will move away from a less regular gain of about 6 ounces per week to a little less to 4 ounces a week. This means the baby will roughly gain 2 ounces this month, and every month till the seventh.

The feeding frequency will decrease here to about five or eight times a day. Your baby will still be walking up at nights for feeds but comparatively less to the previous months.
