Celebrate Children’s Day

Happy Childrens Day

It is pretty safe to assume that for everyone, childhood is possibly the best part of life. This is because we enjoyed life and enjoyed the simple things that came our way. Children do not understand the meaning of sorrow as they are impervious to the harsh realities that life can sometimes throw our way. Children play, have fun and laugh without the bothers of life; living in a nice bubble of their own that is full of joys and happiness.

To celebrate their innocence, Children’s Day is held every year across the globe. It is celebrated on different days in different nations. For examples Japan celebrates the occasion as “Kodomo-no-hi” on the 5th of May, Israel celebrates it on the 9th of October and 4th April is Hong-Kong’s Children’s Day. India celebrates this day on the 14th of November.

This phase of life is unique and can never be experienced again, so it is right for us to commemorate this stage of life. Internationally Children’s Day is celebrated on the 1st of July, but it is not as significant as that of India. The reason being that 14th of November is also the birth anniversary of India’s first Prime Minister, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. Jawaharlal Nehru was very fond of children and he was also very popular amongst them. He would often pose with children for photographs which is why most of his pictures are with kids. Therefore it is justified that we celebrate Children’s Day every year on his birth anniversary.

Nehru, as mentioned, was the first Prime Minister of India after a long bitter struggle from the oppression of the British Empire. Independence was achieved after a long non-violence movement that was lead by Mahatma Gandhi and other famous freedom fighters.

On Children’s Day, all the schools across India organize various activities where children participate with great enthusiasm. Local communities and other cultural organizations put together activities intended to celebrate Children’s Day. At the end of these events, gifts and special prizes are distributed amongst the children.

If you run through your old memories, you too will remember that you used to wait with anticipation and excitement for Children’s Day. It is a huge event for children and they work really hard to put on the large and extravagant shows at schools and for other community events. Children generally want to wear new clothes for this occasion and parents can now Buy Kids Clothes Online. They will look amazingly beautiful when they dress in their favorite attires in front of the whole school or community, depending where the event is organized.
