Christmas Balloon Race, is a fun and high spirited game that keeps the kids active, most of all this game is enjoyed by children across the ages. To play the game you require 2 balloons (preferably in green and red, Christmas color theme), 2 rulers and 2 chairs. Divide the children into two different groups and make them stand behind a line, this will be the starting line. The game will start with the first players being given a ruler and a balloon each. They will then use the ruler to hit the balloon across the room, around their respective chairs and come back to hand over the ruler to the next players that are waiting at the starting line. Hunt the Christmas Card, this is another indoor game for all age groups. You need a minimum of three Christmas cards for all the participating children. Before you start the game you need to do some ground-work for it; simply cut the card right through the middle and hide one half of the card around the house, and place the other half in a box. Now all the children will pick one half of the card and “hunt” for the other half in the room around the house. Once they find the half they will come back and pick another half from the box. The kid with the highest number of whole cards wins.
Merry Christmas is a less active game as it requires the children to sit in a circle. The game starts when one of the player calls out the number “1”, the immediate player sitting next to him/her on the left will start the counting by saying “2”. The fun part is that every number that is a multiple of 5 should be replaced by saying “Merry Christmas!”
Jingle All the Way, this is another very fun and active game. This game is fun when played with lots of children and in a large area. To play the game one of the child will be blindfolded, the other children will each have a bell in their hand. The children with the bells will move around and jingle their bell and say “Jingle All the Way!” while the blindfolded player will try to catch them. If caught, the children will have to switch places.
