How to keep your baby winter-warm

Monsoons are receding and the temperature's coming down. Now is the right time to start preparing for those harsh winters. Take a special note of keeping your baby warm in this season.  Make space in your little one’s wardrobe for those warm leggings, knitted socks and stockings, cute mittens, and caps.

Here are a few useful tips to make your job easy:

  1. A soft hat to protect your infant’s head from cold is the first thing on your list. As we are talking about babies here, it’s obvious you buy a handful of them. Keep your baby’s scalp well protected from cold.
  2. Buy some pair of mittens for your young one to protect his/her hands being exposed to the harsh chills of winters. Make sure that you keep the feet warm too with soft comfortable booties.
  3. Do not over-do by putting on too many layers of clothing. Simply slip your baby into a snowsuit after you dress him in easy comfortable inner garments.
  4. If the winters are rigidly cold and the warm snowsuit does not suffice then wrap a blanket around. Make sure the blanket is not made of slippery material and is soft to your baby’s delicate skin. Keeping a stroller blanket would be nice to have hassle free time with your young one.
  5. For the innermost layer of clothing, stay away from woolen materials. Cotton too should not be your first preference. Choose lycra and silk over cotton as they are better insulators to for the skin.
  6. While you are up for shopping for the baby’s winter wear, it would be a good idea to pick up some party dresses too. You’ll find a wide range of baby dresses for birthday parties, Christmas and New Year lined up online, for a happy shopping experience in winters.
  7. Last of all, while already covered up with so much stuff, don’t hamper his good mood with too much accessorizing. There is an attractive collection of baby accessories online for every occasion and season, but don’t get too excited; make wise choices. We know you want to make your darling baby look his adorable best always but his comfort is your top priority.
