Before birth:

– Great way to introduce a new born is a birth announcement.
– Arrange a waterproof bed pad for your baby.
– Pack a hospital bag according to your baby’s need
– Ask your Friends or check if the hospital have contact with best pediatrician.
– Once you pick the softest fabric clothes for your baby, remember to pre-wash it for hygiene purpose.
– Attend free baby classes to learn more about baby related things.
– Install a baby car seat for safety of your new little member.
– Buy some hand sanitizers and always keep one in your bag to protect your baby from germs.
– Grab a baby record book to cherish every moment of newborn arrival in future. From your ultrasound report to newborn first doctor visit, capture every moment in Baby record book.
– Arrange some baby registry items to handle your new born with care.

When the newborn comes home:

– Jot down the journey from the day you received the biggest news until after your baby is born and enjoy the sweetest memory of your life by reading it frequently.
– First week is the best time to capture pics of new born, so do it on priority basis, because this time will never come back. Capture his/her every move.
– When any question related to your baby pops into your head, write it down immediately. So that you will not forget to ask the doctor regarding anything related to your baby.
– Arrange your baby’s first doctor visit and make sure that you have dressed him/her comfortably. Don’t forget to swaddle him/her properly in a soft fabric cloth.
– Remember that you have a baby record book with you, now it’s the time to fill it.
– Don’t forget to get a birthday certificate of your baby from hospital. It’s a very important document and will help your baby in future.
– When you arrive home with your new born, normally you are not going to find anything on respective places, so don’t feel shy to ask for help to rearrange everything.
– Don’t shake your baby while playing with him/her, it may cause bleeding in brain and can face some medical problem. So be careful.
– First-time dad’s hesitate and don’t wish to get involve just because of the fear of doing something wrong. So ask dad to take time off from work and get connected with the baby.
– Your baby can experience trouble sleeping. So, don’t worry about the bad habits, just let him/her fall sleep on your chest or in a car seat.

– The best time and most important is your baby’s first year. So enjoy it without getting afraid or tense all the time.
– Record your baby’s laughter, his/her cry and shoot some memorable videos, like his/her crawling videos or messy eating video. We are sure that you and your baby is going to cherish them all in future.
– Play some soft music to calm down your baby.
– For each parent and baby, a practice to understand works differently. Observe your baby cries and learn to understand your baby cries comprising of various noises and shrieks.
– Your baby requires bright and vibrant stimulus to develop visual senses. So make sure you provide them with bright, colorful patterns to view all day.

These are the tips to become a responsible and wonderful parent. The reward of all your hard work and sacrifice in raising your baby will be his/her first smile. So, instead of getting afraid that whether you will be a good parent or not, start enjoying your motherhood. Be safe and be careful.
