The role that of a MOTHER!

A woman dons many roles in her lifetime like that of a daughter, a sister, a friend, wife, daughter-in-law, and that of a mother. However, the last mentioned role is hands down the one, which brings a redefining turn to her entire existence.

All those cliches which talk about the tranformational effect of motherhood brings with it, hold but all good-

A mother’s love for her child is unconditional. Obviously, because after a 9 month journey together, the mother-child have already established an eternal bond. The love borne out such deep labour (literally) no doubt will be unconditional.

You start loving your parents all over again.

This sure is applicable to both the parents, however, little more so for the mothers. Child bearing is an overwhelming experience. While for most fathers the responsibility factor proves to weigh more than the emotional aspect. For mothers, it’s more emotional in that sense, and so is observed, that a new mother while nurturing her newborn is transported to back to the times when she was taken care of in a similar way, and thus becomes more and more grateful towards her own mother.

Mother’s know the best.

For a simple reason, that they are the most dedicated towards the infant than anyone else. And because this is the case, she ends up spending the most amount of time with the kid and thus observes those minutest things about her child which would not be caught by anyone else. Even the child himself would not pay so much of heed to his own action. End result- mothers end up knowing all and knowing the best for her child.

Mother’s are selfless and non-judgemental. Face it you may have judged your partner at some point of time, while growing up, you may have kept your interests over that of your parents’. You may have been acted selfish or judgmental a lot many times, but the day you become a mother, the positive attributes will come by as if by magic. A mother, no matter how difficult a relationship she shares with the child, will never truly judge him or play foul with him if it isn’t for his own goodness sake.

A mother is stronger than you know.

To be strong enough to stand up for something, one needs to be hugely passionate about it. And that’s what makes mothers so strong, the deep love and passion for their kids. Like we said, motherhood brings great transformation in a woman, and even if she still may cry over small things, but in adversity, she is capable of showing immense grit to shield her child from any evil/bad force that attacks.

It is not wrong, thus to put this role of a woman at the highest pedestal, as nothing could ever match to it.
