Winter care for little ones

Desc: Winters give an awesome feeling when we stay in blanket for whole day and enjoy warm tea or coffee. But it needs a lot of care too especially for little babies.
Spending winter with your little baby is really a wonderful experience. If you are ready for the coming winters it would be the best time of the year. Making the winter cold or hot for your kid, all is in your hands. You have to be very careful about your kid’s shoes, dress, sweater and other accessories that give a warm touch. Covering child properly protects him against any bad affect of this season. But make sure that while covering him you do not make him irritable. The clothes or shoes he wears should be very comfortable.
1. Prefer warm and light inners: Heavy clothes are not always warmer than lighter ones. Find out the warm clothes that are lighter in weight so that baby can carry it throughout the day and if he is very small than think about you. Avoid stuffing them with two-three sweaters; prefer warm inners that are very light and easy to wear under garments. This would fulfill the need of 1 sweater and now you can cover him with only single sweater or warm winter coat.
2. Find out the soft fabric: Sometimes warm sweaters or inners are very irritating that brings rashes on baby’s skin. So you need to be very concerned about the fabric your kid is wearing. Do not go for hard wool rather prefer soft wool dresses and sweaters. They must be warm, light and soft as well. The stuff should be such that also keeps the bodies dry. 3. Cover their feet: Whether the baby is an infant or grown up, be cautious that their feet should be covered after leaving a bed. Mostly we catch the cold through our feet. Our feet become very cold in winters. So always try to cover them as possible. Never allow small babies to walk naked feet on the floor. Small babies’ feet can be covered with small woolen socks or knitted baby shoes. If the baby is capable of walking then cover their feet with warm socks and shoes. 4. Cover their head and hands: Cover the baby’s head with scarf or a warm hat. The head covering is very important in winters. Even a light flow of air can harm his head so keep it covered especially when you move out. Also make sure that the hat or scarf should be comfortable and should not irritate the baby. Baby’s hands should also be covered with leather or woolen gloves.
5. Baby’s skin care: We all know that baby skin is very sensitive and soft that needs a high care. Baby’s skin does not allow tight fitted clothes so prefer looser ones. Put some sunscreen on the bay’s face and body so as to avoid sun burn. Also take care that baby is not wearing wet diaper in case of little ones. Cold catches baby easily through the wet diapers. So keep him dry.
